The star dining room of the St. Regis Istanbul, Spago arrives from Beverly Hills as the first international location of the star-studded eatery. Created by chef Wolfgang Puck, Spago is located on the rooftop of the Nisantasi hotel within a glamorous dining room capped in a barrel vaulted ceiling facing walls of glass that lead to a massive outdoor terrace framed in Maçka Park and Bosphorus views. An intimate interior design mixes natural elements of wood plank floors with mosaic inlay juxtaposed with black stone fireplaces and leather-accented décor. Outside, a year-round features a grand circular bar and lounge with weekend live music and DJs till 2am.
The Food
An Austrian-spin on traditional California dining, Wolfgang Puck updates his Beverly Hills menu with a more eclectic of American, Mediterranean, and Asian influences. The all-day menu offers both breakfast and lunch, with dinner yielding appetizers of lobster crab Louis salad, scallop carpaccio, beef tartare and caviar service. Gone are the salmon pizzas and in its place are more astute sweet pea tortellini, seafood linguine and asparagus with prawn ravioli followed by mains of turbot with mint, pan roasted lobster and charcoal-grilled filet mignon.
